D365 BC Functional Support Consultant

We're looking for a Business Central Functional Consultant for an initial day-rate contract of up to 12 months. It's a hybrid role, joining an ERP programme at a key stage and helping the business through testing, go-live and early live support.

Responsibilities

• Act as the go-to functional contact for users throughout testing and go-live
• Guide business testers through test cases and help them record results
• Investigate user queries and system issues, working out the root cause
• Raise and track defects, working with the delivery partner and IT to get them resolved
• Keep issue logs and progress reporting accurate and up to date
• Help with data checks, reconciliations and security role testing
• Create user guides and support documentation
• Spot recurring problems and recommend extra training where it's needed
• Help hand the system over to the ongoing support team

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central experience
• Experience supporting an ERP project through testing and go-live
• Strong BC Finance knowledge, such as posting setup, dimensions and reconciliations
• Experience in other BC areas, such as purchasing, sales, inventory or warehousing
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Jira or a similar tracking tool
• Good understanding of BC user permissions and workflows
• Excellent communication skills and a practical, organised approach
